“I love what he conveys” – Hand Of God In Praise Of Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp

With Jurgen Klopp winning hearts in England and well with almost every Premier League rival too, it isn’t a surprise that other managers are praising him. The German has been able to turn the Liverpool side around this season and the team looks set for a good season under the former Borussia Dortmund manager.

Now praise has come from one of the greatest players in the history of the game, if not the greatest. Diego Maradona, the Argentine legend, has spoken out that Klopp is the manager that catches his attention the most.

The 55-year-old World Cup winner was speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca about his new book and had this to say about the Liverpool manager, when asked who caught his attention.

“Jurgen Klopp, at Liverpool. I love what he conveys, the type that gives me confidence. Before at Dortmund and now in the Premier League. Klopp is always going forward.”

The former Napoli striker also had a lot of praise for Diego Simeone and the work he had done at Atletico Madrid. The Argentine also stated that Barcelona and Bayern Munich are the two clubs that play the best football on the planet. Robert Lewandowski also earned some kind words from El Diego as the legend said the Polish star was the world’s best pure striker.

High praise from one of the best in the world

While the managerial abilities of Diego Maradona have been questioned time and again, there is no doubt about his footballing ability. Diego had the ability to beat entire teams on his own, just ask England about it. And the man who coined the term “hand of God” certainly likes the man in charge of Liverpool.

The Reds did pull off a coup when they signed the former Dortmund manager to replace Brendan Rodgers. And after a year in charge, things are looking up for the club. Even though there aren’t many big star names at the club, Klopp has ensured the Reds play a great game.

Klopp would have had a choice of clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester City and even Bayern Munich had he decided to stay put for a few more months. But he chose Liverpool as he felt this was the right club for him.

The Reds certainly are happy that they got the man that FSG initially wanted to bring in. Hopefully, the good performances will continue far into the season. And all Liverpool fans will hope that the Reds do win the elusive Premier League title.
