Talented Liverpool Striker Pens New Deal To Stay At Club

Liverpool’s belief in their youth policy has seen a number of young players make their debuts for the Merseyside club. Ovie Ejaria was the latest player to get a few minutes as he came on against Watford in the 6-1 win for the Reds.

The performances of the Premier League side has seen them move to the top of the league and Jurgen Klopp’s men are also top scorers in the league. Their 30 goals in 11 games have been spread around and a lot of credit must be given to the manager for setting up the attacking play for the side.

Ben Woodburn, one of the youngsters who has been tipped to do well in the senior side did have some good news to share about his future at the club. The 17-year-old can play across the frontline and has been tipped to be the next Robbie Fowler for the club.

Woodburn took to Twitter to share the good news and about his contract with the Reds.

Other players also sign new deals with the club

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kevin Stewart were also players who signed new contracts with the club and should be playing a few more games for the Reds. Stewart has actually even played for the first team and he certainly did well in the EFL Cup games where he has looked great in midfield.

There are a number of other players who are also on the cusp of making it to the first team. Klopp has often stated that the club will look at players from within the system before they think about signing anyone.

There are even bigger plans which could see the joining of the academy and first team which would certainly help the side blood more youngsters into the senior squad.

Liverpool’s team is one of the youngest in the Premier League and it should only get younger with the other players about to debut for the side in the coming years.

Coming back to Woodburn, the Welshman has already scored four goals and provided five assists in just eight Premier League 2 games. While he still needs a few years to develop and hone his skills, he should be one player to keep an eye out for in the future.

With Danny Ings injured and Sadio Mane set to leave for the African Cup of Nations in January, it would not be a surprise if Woodburn does get a few minutes under his belt.
