Jurgen Klopp has transformed Liverpool, making them title contender again and ensuring that they remain in the title race. They are ahead of their title rivals as per their The Reds are currently second in the Premier League with 27 points after 12 games and the highest scoring side this season with 30 goals.

The team look well prepared for the battle ahead. They have a coach that has the pedigree for winning titles and the players are getting the results for him. There is no over reliance on any particular player. They can boast of 10 different scorers already this season. They are in a good position to win the title and Klopp has warned his player to be wary of being complacent as the journey to the league triumph is still 26 games far.

However, stat has showed that the Liverpool boss hardly turn to his bench in matches. He has the norm of sticking to his starting line-up in matches even if the result is not in their favour. He prefers making the necessary change before a game. And even if he will use the substitutes, it is usually late into the game when the match is already won or just to round off.

He has not used the same starting line up consecutively in their last 40 league games.

They were held to a barren draw against Southampton despite dominating the game and firing 15 shots at the Saints goal. The Merseyside were in control of the game and has a larger share of everything but couldn’t find a way through the Saints defence. And despite that he decided to keep faith in his starting line up. He later introduced Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in 78th and 83rd minutes respectively but they do not have enough time to make any impact.

He already has a record of his team scoring late goals as it happened in Borussia Dortmund. Klopp always use all his three substitutes except the Southampton match being the first time he did not use all the three in the Premier League this season.

The former Dortmund boss has used 124 of his available 126 subs in the Premier League since moving to Anfield in October 2015.

This season he has given his subs the second lowest minutes on the pitch (472), with only Chelsea boss Antonio Conte ahead of him in that category. And despite that limited opportunity, Origi (9) and Sturridge (6) have been his most frequent used substitutes with Emre Can and Kevin making five appearances from the bench.

The draw against means that Klopp should introduce his subs early enough to allow that make any impact they want to.
