Liverpool Have A Plan To Beat Tottenham And Sign This Championship Youngster

Liverpool have been linked with a number of players for the upcoming transfer window but here is another winger that could join the side in January. Jacob Murphy has had a great season for Norwich City this season and the 21-year-old is on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs thanks to his exploits.

The English footballer has scored six goals and provided four assists for the Canaries in the Championship and even though the side aren’t doing all that well, he has been a great outlet for them. The youngster has scored a further four goals in the other cup competitions and the Daily Mirror

reports that the Reds will sign him and send him back on loan to his parent club.

Liverpool isn’t the only team looking to sign up the highly rated winger, Tottenham and Everton are a few other clubs are also in the race. The Toffees also want to sign his twin brother Josh

as well and the duo could continue their progress at Everton. However, Liverpool’s proposal of sending the youngster back to Norwich should convince both the club and the player to choose them over Spurs and Everton.

Norwich are lying in 12th place in the league standings and a return to the Premier League does seem tough at the moment. Alex Neil would be hoping that he can keep Jacob till the end of the season and this could be a deal that ensures Norwich get a great deal for their player while he continues his growth at the side till the end of the season.

This isn’t the solution that Liverpool fans might have been looking for regarding their need for an attacker. The Reds will be losing Sadio Mane for a few weeks and the need to have more quality in the side with a number of games coming up is of the utmost importance.

Jurgen Klopp has formed a great attacking side and is known to give youngsters a chance in the side as well. Murphy could be the next youngster joining the side and it certainly could be a great deal should the Reds snap him up on the cheap.

Liverpool have turned things around regarding their academy and have a number of quality products coming through the system. Murphy would certainly provide a lot of competition next season but for now, his development should take place in Norwich only.
