Club Director Is Delighted To Have Tied Up A Deal With Liverpool – Loan Move Complete For Spaniard

Liverpool youngster Pedro Chirivella has finally made his loan move to the Dutch club Go Ahead Eagles. The 19-year-old hasn’t played a senior game for the Reds this season and will be spending the rest of the season for the relegation-threatened side.

Chirivella might not have been close to the first team this season but there are a lot of expectations from the Spanish star and this deal could be seen as one to give him more experience. Chirivella did play a league game last season for the Premier League side and will hope this deal does work out for him.

The Spaniard was signed from Valencia in 2013 but playing in Holland should help his development for sure. While the Eagles aren’t in the best of positions, their manager Dennis Bekking was extremely happy with the loan deal.

“We are very pleased a player with his qualities to add to our selection,” Bekking said.

“I’ve seen him play myself in Liverpool and was impressed with his footballing qualities.

“He can hold the ball, do well without possession and in possession has great insight and an intelligence game.

“Not for nothing Liverpool, last year extended his contract until 2020.”

Even though Chirivella would be playing for a team in a low position, this could be his chance to prove his ability of starring in a side that isn’t doing all that well.

Many youngsters let go by Klopp this season

While Chirivella is only out on loan, Klopp has sold a number of youngsters this season. The latest young player leaving the club is Tiago Ilori.

The former Sporting Lisbon man didn’t really impress a lot in the Premier League and has been sold to Reading who play in the Championship.

The pair of Brad Smith and Jordon Ibe also were sold earlier in the season and had joined Eddie Howe and his Bournemouth side. Klopp does seem to be bringing in his players from the youth academy and the Reds did play their youngest ever side in the Third round of the FA Cup against Plymouth.

That game might have ended in a draw but it was a great experience for the youngsters that took part. It would also serve well in the upcoming games that Liverpool have to play in a tight January schedule which features Manchester United and the EFL Cup semi-final against Southampton.

Chirivella does need to take his chance as there is a lot of competition at Liverpool but the youngster does have the ability to shine and hopefully, he will have a great career ahead of him at Liverpool.
