Liverpool Ready To Bring The Manchester City Outcast In Summer

Liverpool have spoken to Manchester City about a move to sign English goalkeeper Joe Hart at the start of next season based on reports from Metro Sport. The Manchester City goalkeeper had joined Torino at the start of the season and it seems he will not be staying at the club beyond this season.

The Serie A club seems to have found a replacement in the form of Lukasz Skorupski and will not be looking to sign Hart up.

Liverpool have had a number of issues with their goalkeepers this season and it seems that Jurgen Klopp is finally ready to drop one of them off and bring in the experienced goalkeeper. Hart was sent out on loan by Pep Guardiola after the start of the season and signing Claudio Bravo from Barcelona.

While Bravo has struggled at Manchester City, Hart has been doing alright after a tough start to his career in Serie A. The goalkeeper has conceded 25 goals in just 20 games and also has five clean sheets to his name but he would be a safer pair of hands compared to Loris Karius.

Should Klopp make the move to sign Hart?

While Hart has been linked with a move for a number of months, the deal still does not make sense as the player might return to Manchester City after the struggles of Claudio Bravo this season. Liverpool too have to make a big decision regarding their keepers.

Loris Karius might have been shunted out of the side by Simon Mignolet but the pair is doing alright now. Karius has done pretty well in the cup competitions and had even kept clean sheets against Plymouth and was a star player in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi against Southampton.

Mignolet, on his part, has done fantastically since returning to the side and the mistakes seem to have been reduced as he looks more confident between the sticks. Karius could still have a future at the club as he is only 23 at the moment while Mignolet could still do well should he continue his form at the club.

Hart is not the youngest goalkeeper in the world and Liverpool should actually keep their pair of keepers rather than bring Hart in. If they keep on scoring goals no one will question the goalkeepers and that has to be the most important aspect of their game as they look to win the Premier League title for the first time.
