Liverpool have missed out on one of their biggest targets of the summer as Borussia Dortmund confirmed
the signing of Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Monchengladbach. The German midfielder had been linked with a move to the Reds from last season and the club even reportedly failed to get him in the winter window. Dortmund, Jurgen Klopp’s ex-club, will be ecstatic with the move as they signed another young prospect.
They already have the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Christian Pulisic and Emre Mor, amongst others and Dahoud certainly will add a lot of quality to their midfield with Julian Weigl in the line-up as well.
Liverpool fans were extremely disappointed with the loss of the transfer target, especially with Dahoud not costing a lot of money. They certainly voiced their displeasure on Twitter and a lot of questions will be raised on the big talk that Klopp and FSG have been bleating out for a while.
