Jurgen Klopp And Liverpool Are Tracking £85m Attacker With 15 Goals – Man Utd Are Also Keen

Monaco finished a great season by winning the Ligue 1 title and credit must be given to Leonardo Jardim for the attractive football that they have played. One of the stars that has been great for the side is the French sensation Kylian Mbappe.

The 18-year-old has scored 15 goals and provided eight assists in the league competition thus far and a number of clubs are interested in bringing him over to their side. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that we want to sign him up as well.

The French forward has had a breakthrough year and can play across the front line with ease. His pace and finishing are his best qualities and he would do really well for our side, given that we like to play on the counter.

According to EPSN, Jurgen Klopp wants to bring the highly-rated forward to Anfield but one major roadblock is the valuation that Monaco might put on the 18-year-old. Liverpool have not made any official bids yet but are tracking his progress.

The Ligue 1 side want a rather mind-boggling £85 million

for the player and Mbappe has attracted the interest of the likes of Real Madrid and even Manchester United.

ESPN reports that Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev will not allow the teenager to leave the side for another 12 months, though that would be a ploy to get as much money as they can for the forward.

To be fair, Mbappe is touted as one of the brightest players in world football at the moment and if a club does bid crazy money, the Frenchman could move. We don’t really bid large amounts of money on players and that is not the FSG policy but we are set to break a number of transfer records this season.

Should we actually sign Mbappe, it would be a massive coup and the player could turn out to be one of the best to have graced the game. It will be tough to see us battling hard with the other big clubs for Mbappe’s signature but stranger things have happened in football.
