Liverpool have enjoyed a decent season under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp. The Reds are set for a return to Champions League and will be competing on 4 fronts come next season. We certainly need some world-class additions to our squad in order to be able to maintain the levels.
Klopp’s men have to challenge for the title next term and no excuses can be accepted. The time is there, to spend the money and bolster the squad.
Top of our wish list is likely to be a top-class defender, as the Reds have struggled at the back. The defence has been leaky and it needs to be fixed. While the fingers cannot entirely be pointed at the defenders and a fair share of the blame has to go to the midfielders as well. It is their duty to shield the defence during counter-attacks.
Based on Liverpool’s current situation, a report emerged on the Daily Telegraph (h/t Sky Sports), that the Reds are set to spend over £100m on new players, in order to strengthen the team significantly.
The fans though saw the funny side of it as £100m is merely a war chest in this day and age, and took Twitter to express their opinion on the matter, jokingly claiming that a raid on Southampton was around the corner!
