Liverpool have been heavily linked with Mohamed Salah in the last few weeks and it all looked positive. News emerged that a £35million deal was on and that Salah would arrive at Anfield this summer (Telegraph). However, it has all slowed down a bit in recent days and the latest news is that we will target Sporting Lisbon’s Gelson Martins if Roma refuse to compromise on a fee for Mohamed Salah.
BBC’s chief football writer Phil McNulty tweeted on his official Twitter account, revealing that Liverpool will switch target if they fail to agree on a deal with AS Roma.

Salah was brilliant for Roma last season and this seems to have caught the attention of Jurgen Klopp, who wanted to bring the former Chelsea player to Anfield. But now that we are struggling to agree on a fee for the Egyptian international, it is possible that the transfer may fall through.
McNulty revealed the news and it certainly did not go down well with the fans as they promptly responded to it. We managed to gather few tweets and put them together. Read on!
Reminds me of when we leaked “interest” in Rondon and Bacca to force Villa on Benteke. Klopp seems to really want Salah.I think it’ll happen

I think Martins has a higher ceiling. Could be genuine world class.
