One of the biggest deals for Liverpool in the summer nears completion as Emre Can is set to sign a new £100,000-a-week deal with us. Juventus have been linked with a move for the German international and with only 12 months remaining in his current contract, there were fears that the former Leverkusen man was willing to run his deal out and move on a free transfer next season.

However, reports from Tutto Mercato claim that the 23-year-old will sign a new deal to stay at Anfield till 2021 and put an end to all the rumours of him being sold by Jurgen Klopp.

The German certainly stepped up in the latter half of the season, especially when Jordan Henderson was injured and he ensured that we made it to the top four ahead of next season. His wonder goal against Watford remains in memory and hopefully, he can continue this form when the new season starts.
