There are players that dream about moving to Liverpool and then there are those who love the club and will try anything to join it.
David Meyler falls into the second category as the Irishman recently stated that he wants to join Liverpool. In fact, he tweeted that he is joining Liverpool. The 28-year-old Hull City midfielder was bidding farewell to teammate Eldin Jakupovic who is set to join Leicester City and then replied to Kamil Grosicki that he would be the next player to leave the Tigers.
Im going to @LFC

The 28-year-old certainly would not fit into our side simply because we already have a lot of midfield talent and the fact that we are close to signing Naby Keita from RB Leipzig further puts doubts on the claims of Meyler.
It could be a bit of a joke by the Irishman as Hull are in a bit of a problem and are selling players before starting their campaign in the Championship. They were relegated from the Premier League and even though we have been looking to sign Andrew Robertson from the Tigers on a cut price deal, our fans were certainly left confused regarding this statement by Meyler.
Here are some of the best responses from Twitter, for a player that many would know as the one who was head-butted by Alan Pardew a few years ago.
Keita is the Meyler smokescreen, calling it

It’s funny because I actually would like Meyler at Liverpool. He is another James Milner really. Never does anything wrong. https://t.co/TDQC1QB6sL
