Liverpool Face Serious Competition To Sign 19-year Old Talent, Player Has Received 14 Bids In Total

Liverpool face a lot of competition to sign Emre Mor from Borussia Dortmund. The 19-year-old can play in a number of positions and has surprisingly been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side after just one season in Germany.

Turkish Football reports that Mor actually received 14 bids, according to his agent Muzzi Ozcan.

Speaking to NTV Spor, his agent said (via Turkish Football):

“Fourteen offers have been made for Emre Mor but Borussia Dortmund have yet to respond to any of the bids.”

The agent further added that his client’s future is still in the balance and he could be leaving Dortmund but only on loan.

“It is not clear yet what will happen, he could even leave on loan or stay at Dortmund.”

Aksam newspaper has now added that Besiktas want to sign Mor from the Bundesliga side and have submitted an offer too.

The report also claims that Besiktas president Fikret Orman met with Michael Zorc of Dortmund in China and held talks about a possible move for Mor. The Bundesliga side is in China and Mor starred in their game against the Urawa Red Diamonds and scored a couple of goals too.

First-team Football Is A Requirement For Mor

While Besiktas would offer first-team football to Mor, the report from Turkish Football adds that we had actually made contact about bringing the Dortmund youngster, as the winger could be an economical option to have due to our European commitments.

Besiktas do face a crisis of sorts as Gokhan Tore is out for a few months and that is a space that needs to be covered up fast.

While we do need players to bolster the team and improve our chances of finishing higher than last season, Mor wouldn’t be breaking into the first-team from the get-go. We do need to have quality players to provide cover and that is a job that Mor can easily do.

The 19-year-old’s move does look a little unlikely, thanks to the various offers he has. The Turk would want to play regularly and that is not a guarantee when it comes to moving to a big club like Liverpool, especially on loan.

Dortmund would ideally want the 19-year-old to play as many games as he can and possibly, moving to a Turkish club or a mid-table Premier League club should give Mor the chances he needs to develop his game and fulfil his potential.
