Liverpool FC Owner’s Wife Clearly Approves Of £36.9m Summer Signing’s Performance

Mohamed Salah has easily been one of the best players in the Premier League this season and even Jamie Carragher stated that the Egyptian is the best signing of the summer window, which saw big names move to various clubs.

The former Roma and Chelsea man didn’t have the best of times when he was playing for the Blues in England and many were worried about the £36.9m we paid for Salah. But the attacker has already done a lot of attacking for us.

Salah scored a couple of goals in the 4-1 win over West Ham United this past weekend and that again got a lot of people talking, including Linda Pizzuti, wife of John Henry.

Pizzuti was clearly happy not only with the win but she also heaped praise on Salah by tweeting,

Salah has scored 12 goals for us already this season and has 3 assists to his name as well. The Egyptian has found his scoring boots in the Premier League too, with 7 goals and a couple of assists to his name.

Salah Is Another Star In The Making

This signing could turn out to be better than that of Sadio Mane, who joined us from Southampton at the start of last season. The Senegalese had pace and strength, and was a handful to the opposition, throughout the campaign.

This time around, the role has been taken by Salah, as Mane has been injured for a while, and the former Saints star made his return to the first-team, against the Hammers. Mane might have looked a little rusty but he did form a great pairing with Salah and the duo combined to brutal effect as we scored a typical counter-attacking goal which Salah finished easily.

Keeping the pair fit for the rest of the season will be important to ensure we score enough goals to defeat the opposition. Our defence might not be the best but this attacking duo, alongside Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and even Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can become the best in the Premier League.

We are outside the top four spots in the league table right now but Salah’s goals should help us reach the Champions League spots if he keeps playing in the same manner for the rest of the season.
