The rumours are back, surrounding another Liverpool sensation! It’s not Emre Can; he will be moving anyway (at least I guess so), but it is about our speedster Mohamed Salah. Yes, the one who joined us only last summer.
Rumours are interesting, they are even more fascinating when they seem unrealistic but you cannot write anything off in football given how the sport has evolved over the years.
So as per the rumours, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has been left amazed by the Egyptian’s performances and has shown a potential interest. He knows Liverpool won’t sanction a deal that easily, hence the capital club are ready to offer Gareth Bale as a makeweight in a reported swap deal.
This is according to the Spanish news outlet Don Balon, who claim that the current campaign will be the Welshman’s last one at the Bernabeu. The 28-year-old’s current campaign has been hampered by constant injuries and Real now feel that Salah will be the perfect candidate to replace Bale.
Salah has been in blistering form this season and has already crossed the 30-goal mark, leaving the spectators drooling.
As things stand for Bale, he has only made 15 La Liga starts this season (11 starts) and has completed full 90 minutes just thrice. Be it as it may, Bale’s goalscoring touch is still intact and the fact that he has 7 goals in these limited appearances is the perfect specimen of it. It remains to be seen how far the story progresses but Liverpool fans are already in a frenzy and this is how they reacted to it:
