Hull boss Adkins claims on-loan Liverpool starlet could return to Championship next season

According to Hull City boss Nigel Adkins, Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson could be at KCOM stadium next season. Wilson has been shining bright since moving to Hull from Liverpool on loan during the winter transfer window.

The youngster has been in fantastic form for the Tigers under Nigel Adkins, scoring 5 goals and supplying 3 assists in 8 appearances so far, helping the Championship club climb away from the relegation zone.

The 21-year-old, who has scored once for Wales in three matches, has cemented his place as a regular for Hull after impressing the manager with his displays on the wings.

The Liverpool loanee’s hot form has seen Hull boss Adkins become increasingly confident about Wilson’s return to KCOM stadium this summer.

“I think he’ll be playing for Hull City in the Championship but that’s me being positive,” Adkins said, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

After the season ends, Wilson will return to Liverpool, having gained solid first-team experience. However, it would yet be difficult to dislodge the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane from the first-team next season.

So, another loan move to Hull makes complete sense. At 21, Wilson needs to play regularly to fulfil his top potential. When the young Welshman arrived at Hull at the back end of January, the Tigers were embroiled in a relegation battle.

However, Wilson’s impressive form has turned around the Tigers’ fortunes, helping them reach a safe position in the table. Without any doubt, the loan move has worked wonders so far.

Wilson is playing with a lot of freedom and confidence, scoring goals and making assists at Hull. It is great to watch our academy starlet perform so well.
