Liverpool face a tough challenge ahead as they prepare for the epic Champions League semi-final clash against AS Roma. The first leg will take place on Tuesday at Anfield and the players were seemingly working hard in the training session ahead of the game.
The determination was clearly writ on our team’s faces as they went about their usual business while the likes of Jurgen Klopp and Steven Gerrard watched on.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been a crucial player for us in recent times and he looked extremely focused on his workouts. His influence in the midfield will prove to be pivotal for us in the games to come as well.
Mohamed Salah seemed to be in good spirits after picking up the PFA Player of The Year award. He will undoubtedly be a key player for us as we face his former side on Tuesday. Hopefully, Salah will get his name on the score sheet.
The battle against Roma will certainly not be an easy one. Although we decimated Manchester City in both legs of the quarterfinal, we must bear in mind that the Italian giants beat Barcelona to get to where they are.
The Catalans are on the verge of winning the La Liga title this season and they were promising in the Champions League as well. However, when the moment dawned, Roma outperformed them and clinched a spectacular win.
Nevertheless, that won’t matter for the upcoming match. Both teams will have a clean slate to begin afresh and everything will come down to how we perform when it truly matters.
