Liverpool target Xherdan Shaqiri might be an enigma when it comes to performing on the pitch but there is no doubt that the Swiss star is a world beater.
The Stoke City man was great in the 2-1 win over Serbia as he scored a late goal for the Swiss after Granit Xhaka had equalised for Shaqiri’s team.
It was Aleksandar Mitrovic who opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the game and it was a fantastic slug-fest between two European rivals.
However, the goal from Shaqiri was incredible given the occasion, timing and the finish too. Chris Kamara was speaking to the Daily Star
where he said that the 26-year-old would be great for the Reds.“He would perform in a Liverpool team, that’s for sure. There is always room [in the team] for top-class players.
“You play so many games throughout the season and someone like Shaqiri would earn his stripes in terms of performances.”
It would be fantastic seeing Shaqiri come to Anfield given that he has a release clause of just £12m due to Stoke’s relegation and the Liverpool fans were on the Shaqiri Express as they wanted the club to sign the Swiss star.
