This World Cup will certainly be remembered for plucky performances from the lower ranked sides. We have seen Argentina struggle, Germany lose and teams needing last-minute winners to get the job done.
The same can be said about Brazil that needed two late goals to see off a dogged Costa Rica side. The goals came from Liverpool old boy Philippe Coutinho and then Neymar but it was a subdued performance from one of the favourites for the trophy.
Roberto Firmino was the catalyst for the first goal as his header in the box allowed Coutinho to race in and slot past Keylor Navas.
The Liverpool link seemed to work brilliantly, even if Coutinho is not a Red anymore. However, Twitter brought up the pair and their Liverpool connection as the Samba Boys look forward to qualifying for the next round.
