Liverpool braced for ‘monster’ offer for underperforming attacker; could finance summer rebuild

Liverpool could end up using money generated through an underperforming attacker for their summer rebuild

Liverpool are braced for a summer rebuild as the club is now set to undergo massive changes after Jurgen Klopp departs this summer. Even though a replacement for the German has been found this is just the beginning of the changes that will swoop over Anfield in the coming weeks.

The main part of the upcoming rebuild will be the team. The Reds are ready to compete for more titles and they will need a worthy team for that. Their search for new talent is expected to start with the centre-back position as Liverpool’s defence has seemed somewhat awry for a while now.

However, the quality of players they sign will depend on how much money they have. Luckily for them, Al Ittihad are preparing a ‘monster’ bid for the team’s underperforming attacker, Mo Salah, as reported by Caught Offside. The Egyptian forward could be headed to Saudi this summer.

Mo Salah’s woes in front of goal have cost the team a lot during Jurgen Klopp’s final campaign. He and the other attackers have often been off the mark during the last few weeks and as a result the Premier League title now seems out of their reach.

While it is a little weird to imagine such a big player for the Reds leave after such a disappointing season, the time seems right. Salah is 31 and will only be getting older.

if Liverpool plans on cashing in on him now would be the time. If Salah gets older his form will drop and as a result of that so will his value to other teams.

Mo Salah has a big decision to make this summer.

More Liverpool News!

The 31-year-old made 42 appearances this season recording 25 goals and 14 assists. He is still capable of playing at the highest level and this will help the Reds boost up his price for the summer. However, this should be taken with a grain of salt since there is no guarantee that the Egyptian forward would like to leave. While a sale for Salah would help the team sign new talent, it would also be a bitter end to a great tale. It’ll be interesting to see what becomes of the Egyptian this summer.
