New – Liverpool turn their attention towards Swedish goalkeeper as Madrid enter Alisson talks

Liverpool have turned their attention to another goalkeeper, according to The Mirror, as Alisson is a target for Real Madrid.

The report claims that we are looking at Swedish international Robin Olsen, who has starred two games for Sweden at the World Cup so far.

Olsen plays for FC Copenhagen in the Danish league and the 28-year-old kept a clean sheet in the first game of the World Cup against South Korea.

He was pretty good in the match against Germany too but the side lost, thanks to a last-minute goal from Toni Kroos. Olsen might not be a known name but he seems to be in decent form and will surely cost less than the likes of Alisson or Jan Oblak.

The Swede is the latest player linked with a move to Liverpool to fix our goalkeeping issues as we might look to replace Loris Karius between the sticks.

We have even been linked with lower price keepers in Nick Pope of Burnley and Jack Butland of Stoke City. However, signing Olsen would be a major risk given that we haven’t seen him play regularly for a top European club and at 28, he isn’t the youngest keeper out there either.

There certainly has to be an investment in the goalkeeping situation but moving for Olsen does not seem to be the right move for us.

Olsen could be a decent No.2 for us but him being a No.1 would not probably work for us and we must get someone better than the Swede.
