Liverpool and Chelsea have agreed on a fee for English striker Dominic Solanke almost a year after he signed for the Reds.
The 20-year-old let his contract run down at Stamford Bridge and joined Liverpool but since he was under 24, the Blues were due for compensation.
The Liverpool Echo
reports that Liverpool wanted to pay £3million while Chelsea wanted closer to £10million for Solanke.Talks between the two clubs led to an impasse last season and it looked likely that the Professional Football Compensation Committee would have to finalise the fee.
However, the report claims that the two clubs have agreed to a fee but both parties remain tight-lipped about how much was paid for the English youngster.
A spokesperson of the Reds also added that the issue has been resolved and there would be no further comment on the transfer of Solanke.
The youngster was a part of the squad a number of times and even made it to the Champions League final team last season, a match we unfortunately lost to Real Madrid.
Solanke did get an assist and scored his only goal for us in the final Premier League game of the league season against Brighton, in a 4-0 win.
