Xherdan Shaqiri’s move to Liverpool will probably be confirmed after the World Cup, according to the Independent (h/t Daily Star).
The Swiss star was relegated from the Premier League by Stoke City but is expected to leave the side in the summer and return to the Premier League.
He was in excellent form for the national side as he helped them progress to the knockout rounds of the World Cup, even scoring the winner in the game against Serbia.
Shaqiri scored 8 goals and provided 7 assists for Stoke City last season and he would be a fantastic option for us, given that he would be coming on the cheap.
The expected price for the player is £12million due to a relegation release clause in his contract. That value for a player of Shaqiri’s ability would be a steal and we should do everything we can to complete this deal safely.
Shaqiri can play in a number of positions and would provide Jurgen Klopp with a lot of options. It will be interesting to see just how long the transfer takes place to complete with Switzerland in the round of 16 too.

Hopefully, the player will be unveiled after the World Cup as we need to bring in a few more players before the start of next season.
