Fabinho has opened up about his move to Liverpool and how Jurgen Klopp plans to use the Brazilian next season.
The 24-year-old was snapped up by us just after the Champions League final loss and the former Monaco man stated that the team had improved a lot under the German manager.
Fabinho was speaking to Four Four Two (h/t Daily Star) as he added:
“He’s said I might play in a few different positions but the plan is to use me in midfield and I’m available to play wherever he needs me. He left the best possible impression.”
The Brazilian also added that Klopp had revealed about the demanding nature of the English calendar and that he was wanted by our manager.
“[The day I signed] was party day! [My wife and I] were both smiling at everything.”
Fabinho was also excited but stressed out about moving to Liverpool as he revealed that he kept asking people when the deal would be made official and when he would have his medical for the club.
The 24-year-old is expected to be a big hit in the Premier League and the defensive midfielder could be one of the best signings we have made under Klopp as he could really make our midfield one of the toughest to compete against.
Another factor that should not be forgotten is the fact that Fabinho can play as a right-back and his versatility could be great for us next season.
There are big expectations from the Liverpool team next season and with a confident squad and Klopp doing the magic behind the scenes, we might actually end up winning a trophy or two.
