Liverpool’s loan policy scares Celtic and Leeds from signing top-rated starlet

Liverpool’s loan policy could affect a number of clubs trying to sign our players for the coming season, according to Bristol Live.

The report suggests that the Reds fine clubs that do not play their on-loan stars enough, such as Bristol City, who were fined £500,000 for not playing Ryan Kent as many times as the Reds would have liked to.

And this would also affect the likes of Celtic, Leeds United, Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion, who are all interested in taking Harry Wilson on loan this season.

The report claims that the Scottish giants Celtic have been put off by the way we do our business regarding loan players. Jurgen Klopp was not pleased with the way Brendan Rodgers used Charly Musonda of Chelsea at Celtic Park last season.

Harry Wilson

The “fine system” that we seem to have implemented could see Wilson go back on loan to Hull City. The Welsh youngster had a great season for the Tigers as he scored 7 times from just 13 games for the Championship team.

While Wilson does need to get regular playing time, sending him out to a Premier League side on loan would have been a better option.

Gaining Premier League experience is important for any young player and the ‘fine system’ means that Wilson would get a set number of games at the top level.

This system is a good decision from Liverpool to ensure that players are not taken for the sake of a transfer but rather for gaining valuable experience under their belt.
