Liverpool are still unbeaten in pre-season but could not get the win over Bury in their third game. The Reds had defeated Tranmere in their last game 3-2 but things were much tighter here are we were held to a 0-0 draw by Bury.
The talk of the game before it started was about Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip starting together and even Loris Karius started after a bit of a wobble in the last match.
The new boys Fabinho and Naby Keita were also there while we saw Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi start as well, as they look to keep a spot in the team ahead of the new season.
We won’t be seeing our World Cup stars come back for a while as they will all get an extended break.
However, our fans did have a lot to say about the game or the lack of action from it and here are some reactions to the drab 0-0 draw against Bury.
Fantastic performance
Clean sheet
Fitness nearly there
Keita and Fabinho world class performance

I see the tactic. Don’t give away the plans for the season ahead. Smart.

Very poor, should’ve been able to Bury this lot easily.

Hahahahaha. The absolute meltdown of a pre-season game designed to get everyone up to match fitness. The absolute state of some of you lot.

What a dire match, Curtis Jones the only player that deserves a Klopp hug today. Great seeing VVD back also! 😅 pic.twitter.com/4bKLnfIo0g
