“We will see what happens by Friday” – Liverpool midfielder’s future up in the air as agent stalls loan move

Marko Grujic is wanted by Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to Turkish Football. The Serbian was on loan at Cardiff City last season as he helped them achieve promotion and their manager Neil Warnock is trying to sign the 22-year-old midfielder.

Speaking to the BBC, Warnock claimed that Cardiff would have to wait for the player to sign. He also added that Grujic’s agent is trying to get more money by sending the Serbian elsewhere.

“I think his agent – as they do – probably thinks he is going to try and make more money somewhere else.

“Liverpool want him to come and I think it will be good for him. I think Marco does as well.”

Grujic impressed when he was in the side last season as he helped them gain promotion and Warnock added that there would be clarity on the player this week.

“We will see what happens by Friday this week”.

The Liverpool man’s performance in the second half of the season was also the reason he got a place in the Serbian World Cup squad but he did not play a single game for the side that was eliminated in the group stage.

Grujic is a bright midfielder, however, there is a lot of competition in the current side and he should be loaned out to gain some valuable experience.

It would be great if we can keep him in the Premier League and Cardiff would be a good option too but if Galatasaray offer some money for the loan deal, it might be tough for us to say no.
