Naby Keita missed the 2-1 win over Manchester City in pre-season as Liverpool confirmed the former RB Leipzig man was rested due to a sore neck.
The midfielder has had a decent start to pre-season after joining us in the summer and is expected to be kept away from the next set of training sessions, however, he might be fit to take part in our final game in the US against Manchester United.
Keita is one of the four players to have joined us in the summer, however, his deal was completed more than a season ago by the Reds.
The Guinea international is expected to be handed a starting role by Jurgen Klopp as the Premier League season starts soon.
