Jurgen Klopp refuses to take full credits for outstanding transfer business at Anfield

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to take all the credit for the excellent work in the transfer window. The Reds have signed four players in the summer and Klopp was speaking to Goal (h/t Express) where he claimed that the team works together at Anfield.

“The big thing is to be always working together.

“We talk about positions, and then we bring in the names from left and right. Then we think ‘oh yes, sounds good, make a video’. Then we make a video and it looks even better!”

The German was open about how teamwork helped the Reds sign Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Xherdan Shaqiri. Even the record-breaking transfers for Virgil van Dijk and Alisson were conducted by a team\.

However, Klopp was quick to suggest that the final decision about a player coming in depended on him giving the green light.

“That’s how it is; one brings it up, then someone else makes the next step. But at the end, I have to make a decision; does it fit or not? If I think it fits then we do it.”

There have been some smart signings in the Klopp era and one such example is Andy Robertson

. The manager was quick to add that the club spent a lot of time thinking about moving for the Scot since Robertson got relegated with Hull City before switching to Anfield.

However, the left-back was one of the stars in our previous campaign and the manager believes there would be a lot of interest in the defender now.

There has been some magic at Anfield on and off the field and if Klopp’s team can continue doing great transfer work, we will our club win trophies soon.
