“I cannot kill your D-day show”: Klopp leaves door open for more signings at Liverpool

According to a report by Sky Sports, Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Liverpool’s business for the ongoing transfer window might be far from over. Deadline Day is fast approaching, meaning most clubs will be scurrying to get last-minute deals done.

Thankfully, Liverpool have enjoyed a brilliant summer by signing the likes of Fabinho, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri, Alisson Becker and Fabinho. To be fair, Jurgen Klopp has worked brilliantly towards strengthening and boosting our forces in a lot of key areas before the commencement of the new season.

In fact, our exploits in the pre-season speak volumes of how our team has improved. However, our gaffer has hinted that we might see more new faces in the team before the window slams shut.

Speaking after Liverpool’s emphatic 5-0 win against Napoli, Klopp was asked about potential activities in the upcoming few days.

“We will see what happens,” replied the German. “I cannot kill your D-day show, people sit there in front of the television all day waiting.

“If any player from my team is available, then in every other situation in my life as a manager I would have bought all of them, to be honest.”

Signing more players would honestly be a great move for us. Our team is already considerably stronger than last season but to avoid a burnout, we must keep our forces well stocked.

Liverpool will face Torino to wrap up the pre-season and from then on, it will be Premier League action all the way. Regardless of whether or not we sign new players, the Reds are undoubtedly one of the front-runners to win the title this season.
