Roberto Firmino has revealed that his dream is to win the Premier League title with Liverpool and believes the side is stronger than last season.
Liverpool were one of the big spenders in the off-season as they bought four players, and Firmino was further quoted by the Mirror as saying,
“We have shown in the last campaign that our dreams can be fulfilled and that we can return to the path of winning titles. This year, we must not fail and that is the attitude of the players.
“Certainly, my dream is to lift the Premier League trophy with Liverpool – and that’s what we are trying to do.”
Firmino banged in 25 goals in the Champions League and Premier League for the Reds last season and added that winning titles with Liverpool is the only thing that interests him.
The former Hoffenheim man also praised the supporters of the club and was quoted by the Mirror as saying:
“I’m only interested in Liverpool and winning everything I can with them. We have the best supporters in the world here, they are amazing – and there are Liverpool fans in every part of the planet. So we know what it would mean to be champions.”
The Brazilian believed Manchester City are not unbeatable and added that the Cityzens have lost games earlier.
“City are not invincible, they have lost games too,” insisted Firmino
The 26-year-old claimed that the battle for the Premier League crown would go until the final day of the season and wanted the Reds to stay at the top.
