Alisson has responded to Jurgen Klopp’s comments regarding the flick over Anthony Knockaert and receiving the ball too many times in our win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Brazilian kept his third consecutive clean sheet and was quoted by the Mirror
as saying that he wants to help the side and doesn’t mind playing it out with his feet.“I try my best to help the team in the build-up.
“If sometimes there is a situation where there is dribbling, I do it carefully.”
The former AS Roma keeper added that since the team prefers to play out from the back, mistakes could happen.
“It could be too risky, but it’s part of the game, we are a team that plays from the back with the ball on the ground.
“That’s part of the team’s characteristics. Mistakes may happen, but we work hard during the week to everything correctly during the matches.”
Klopp had claimed that Alisson is confident but playing back passes to him all the time makes “no sense”.
“Too often in the second half we put him in a situation where we needed him in a similar situation by playing back passes in the wrong moments, stuff like that, it made no sense.
“He is very confident and very good with the ball and that helps us massively, but he cannot be the main solution in the last 10 minutes. That makes no sense.”
