Jurgen Klopp hints at squad rotation and laments that Liverpool ‘lost the plot’

Jurgen Klopp has hinted at changes in the Liverpool team after the side laboured to a 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Klopp was quoted by the Liverpool Echo

“Leicester we will see what we can do and then hopefully they all come back healthy (from the international break).

“But we have to use all of them and we will do. Then the games are really coming, it is an intense time and it looks like ‘How can you leave out him or him or him?’.

“Don’t forget Divock Origi and Dom Solanke trained really, really good and are not in the squad (on Saturday). That is really hard but they will be used as well and they will have a part to play.”

Klopp further added that he was pleased with the 1-0 win but preferred a much larger scoreline for the side.

The German lamented that Liverpool had lost the “plot” in the second half of the game and claimed our pressing went missing.

“We had outstanding counter-pressing situations in the first half. In the second half we had none. We were still around but we didn’t win the balls. It’s not because the boys didn’t want it but because they felt the intensity.”

The manager added that there is scope for improvement from the side and wanted the team to be “brilliant” all the time.
