Simon Mignolet would not be playing in the Champions League as Jurgen Klopp will field Alisson in our European games this season, as per the Telegraph.
The Brazilian has started all four of our league games this season with three clean sheets to his name. However, Klopp will not rotate his keepers this season, as per the report.
This would be in contrast to his move last season when Mignolet started league games and Loris Karius played our Champions League ties.
The German manager did eventually make Karius our No.1 and he helped Liverpool reach the Champions League final last season.
Mignolet had stated that rotating keepers wasn’t a good idea and that was when Karius was picked to be our Premier League keeper too, as per the report.
The report adds the best Mignolet can hope for is a run in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup. However, we face a tough tie against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and it will be interesting to see how Klopp fields the team.
Alisson is our No.1, there is no doubt about that. Barring that one error against Leicester City, the 25-year-old has impressed between the sticks.
Not rotating the keepers is a wise decision taken by the manager as it would lead to fewer issues when communicating with the back four.

The keepers and defenders should be treated as a unit and constantly changing them does not help the team get better.
