Rhian Brewster

Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster faces three more months out on the sidelines as his recovery from surgery will see him return in December, as per the Guardian.

The Englishman was promoted to the main squad under Jurgen Klopp in July after the striker had signed a professional contract with the Reds. However, the 18-year-old is expected to join training from December, as per the report.

Brewster was in exceptional form for the U17 side that picked up the World Cup in October, winning the Golden Boot.

The report adds that Klopp is confident of the striker making his senior debut this season but his recovery from the ankle ligament surgery is taking longer than expected.

Almost a year out from training and development will hurt the youngster but under Klopp, we have someone who is willing to give players time to recover.

Danny Ings and Joe Gomez suffered long-term injuries after Klopp took over but the manager has been patient with the pair.

Gomez is playing the best football of his life at the moment and even though we let go of Ings, the striker is doing pretty well at Southampton.

Brewster could be another player that returns stronger than ever and we must give him the time and support he needs to get back to full fitness.
