Liverpool ran out 2-1 winners at Wembley but the scoreline did not speak about the true nature of the game.
The Reds were the better side throughout the 90 minutes and a late goal from Erik Lamela provided a nervy end to the match.
Liverpool should have scored half a dozen or so but poor finishing and decision-making almost cost us the three points.
The Reds ran Tottenham out of the park and Georginio Wijnaldum scored the first goal for us. The Dutch midfielder hasn’t scored enough for us but this was his first goal away from home in the Premier League.
Roberto Firmino got the other goal but Wijnaldum was one of our best players on the pitch. The former Newcastle man doesn’t often get praised for his performances but some Liverpool fans were ecstatic with the midfielder’s efforts at Wembley.
