“We all score” – Liverpool star shoots down claims of selfishness among attacking trio

Mohamed Salah has revealed that the attackers at Liverpool are a close-knit group and want to do well collectively.

Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Salah have scored eight goals in total for the Reds this season but some of their decision-making was questionable in the 2-1 win over Tottenham.

There were instances where Salah did not pass to an open player while Mane did the same on a few occasions too. Luckily, it did not cost us the win but the Egyptian was quick to suggest there isn’t anything bubbling underneath.

The Egyptian was quoted by Liverpool Echo saying:

“We’re friends, we talk a lot to each other.

“Generally, we sit together in the dressing room in the same place just after matches.

“There’s a real solidarity between us because we don’t worry about who’s going to score the most or first. Each of us works so that the others score. And as you have seen, we all score.”

Liverpool were one of the best attacking sides in the world last season and the trio scored 91 goals in all competitions.

All of them hit double digits while Salah also broke the Premier League’s scoring record. The Reds marched to the finals of the Champions League last season but they have been placed in a tough group featuring Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli this time.

Regardless, the trio must aim to better their tally from last season and with Salah confident of their abilities, we must work wonders.
