(Video) Alisson was an unsung hero for Liverpool in 1-1 draw against Chelsea

Liverpool and Chelsea played out an incredible 1-1 draw as we got the point, thanks to a brilliant strike from Daniel Sturridge.

The Reds had their chances to score more goals with Xherdan Shaqiri missing a great chance in the second half.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane tried their best but there is another star who deserves a lot of credit for the draw.

Alisson might have been beaten by Eden Hazard but the Brazilian was excellent throughout the game.

The keeper’s positioning was spot-on a couple of times, as he rushed off the line to either collect the ball or clear it out.

The Brazilian kept us in the game with a string of quality saves and was a solid option to play the ball back to.

Alisson saved a great shot from Willian in the first half and did the same against Hazard in the second when Chelsea took a quick free-kick.

The Brazilian’s distribution was great as he proved to be a decent outlet for our attackers. The 25-year-old was dominant in the air and even saved Georginio Wijnaldum’s blushes when he dealt with a poor back-pass from the Dutchman.

Alisson hasn’t been tested a lot during his time at Liverpool but this proved that we do have one of the best in the world.

The 25-year-old was commanding during set-pieces too. There hasn’t been a lot to cheer regarding goalkeepers at Anfield in recent years but Alisson is truly fantastic between the sticks and we should see better performances in the coming months.
