Liverpool will return for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey, according to the Mirror. The report claims that the Reds bid for the 27-year-old in the previous window but could not get the job done.

The midfielder would be available on a free transfer as the report claims Unai Emery has stopped talks over a new contract for the Welshman.

Arsenal would prefer to sell him in the January window for some money but the report adds that Ramsey will stay in London until the end of the season and then choose from the offers he receives.

The Welsh midfielder is interested in playing under Jurgen Klopp (h/t Mirror) and would join his former teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at Anfield.

Liverpool are in a strong position in the league as Klopp has made us one of the best in the league. We are also in the Champions League and that could be an attractive proposition for the midfielder.

The report adds that Juventus are keeping tabs on the Ramsey situation while AC Milan could also be interested in the midfielder.

The Reds have a number of options in their midfield but Ramsey is a quality player and will add more firepower to our attack.

We don’t have many attacking midfielders in our ranks and with the Ox still recuperating from his injury, a move for his teammate wouldn’t be a bad deal.

The Reds signed Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal last season and it will be interesting to see how things progress with the Welshman in the coming weeks.
