Liverpool were dealt an early blow in their game against Manchester City as James Milner had to be replaced in the first half.
The Englishman pulled up around the 30-minute mark with Naby Keita coming on and Liverpool confirmed that the 32-year-old suffered a hamstring injury.
Jurgen Klopp was asked about the severity of the injury and was quoted as saying:
“How much [serious]? It’s too early, I don’t know.
“I asked him ‘big one?’ and he said ‘I don’t think so, but big enough that I go off.'”
Milner has been one of our best players this season, starting 10 games in all competitions. The midfielder has a couple of goals and assists to his name, and hopefully, he won’t be out for too long.
The former Leeds United star has kept out the likes of Naby Keita and Fabinho from the team with his performances.
Since we are heading into the international break now, it would give the Englishman a couple of weeks to recover from the problem.

Replacing Milner didn’t cost us much, as we held on a for a 0-0 draw at Anfield. Liverpool’s next game is against Huddersfield Town and it will be important to keep a tab on Milner’s recovery in the coming days.
