Liverpool made light work of Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League as they ran out 4-0 winners at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah scored a brace while Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane got into the act too. The win lifted Liverpool to the top spot in the group, due to the draw between Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli.
Liverpool were at their fluid best against the Serbians and could have scored more than the four goals. Mane missed a penalty while Adam Lallana was put through on goal but the Englishman’s effort was saved.
Salah’s goals took him to 50 in all competitions for the Reds and the Egyptian posted on Twitter to celebrate the landmark.

Georginio Wijnaldum also was quick to thank the fans for their support in the game and even congratulated Salah for his 50th in Liverpool’s red.

James Milner did not start the game but the midfielder congratulated the team for the excellent performance.

One player who did a great job was Fabinho. The Brazilian didn’t say much but was involved in most of our best moments in midfield.
Well done, lads! +3 #ucl #YNWA #lfc pic.twitter.com/bhrTEcQKy0

Our central defenders weren’t troubled much in the night as Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk stood tall. We kept yet another clean sheet and Gomez was already preparing for the next game.
Anfield nights… good result and clean sheet thanks for your support. Onto the next one 🔴 #LFC pic.twitter.com/rMksYYXg68

Our next clash is against Cardiff City in the Premier League, and if we play in this fashion, another huge win could be on the cards on Saturday.
