Liverpool keeper Alisson conceded the first Premier League home goal of the season against Cardiff City. The Brazilian had conceded just three goals in nine games before Callum Paterson scored past him.

Alisson couldn’t really do much given the low cross took a deflection from Virgil van Dijk but one fan seemed to be really upset about the goal.

The Liverpool Echo translated the exchange between the fan and Alisson on Twitter.

“You are not at the level of the Reds,” the fan told Alisson. “Better now or get out!”

The Liverpool keeper’s reply was to the point where he called the fan an “idiot”.

The fan continued to argue with Alisson and added:

“I’m a Red and it doesn’t matter if you and your followers call me an idiot and they offend me.

“I never move alone. What you have to say is in the field. Be worthy of that shirt, even now it’s not.”

The Brazilian star replied that the fan’s opinion was unique before ending the conversation.

The former AS Roma man has been brilliant for us between the sticks, and it is a little harsh reading such comments from fans.

The 26-year-old has helped our defence become one of the best in the league, and there is no doubting his ability.

The keeper has also learned from his Leicester City mistake and seems to be better and quicker with the ball at his feet.
