Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri to start? – Predicted Liverpool line-up to face Arsenal

Liverpool face Arsenal in an interesting clash on Saturday as the Reds look to put one of their title rivals away. The Gunners are just four points behind the Premier League leaders and were in action during midweek.

Their Carabao Cup win over Blackpool came at a price as Matteo Guendouzi picked up a red card. The youngster will miss the clash at the Emirates, while Liverpool should be the fresher side as they were not involved in cup action.

Jurgen Klopp should be able to field his strongest XI for the tie and here is our predicted line-up for the Anfield side.

Predicted Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Alisson Becker (GK)

The Brazilian was beaten in our last game against Cardiff but should be up for a tougher test at the Emirates.

Andy Robertson (LB)

Robertson was rested in the 4-1 win over Cardiff, but the Scot should return to the starting XI for this clash.

Dejan Lovren (CB)

Lovren should stay in the side as the partner to Van Dijk in the back four. The Croatian has to be at his best as the Gunners could target him.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

The Liverpool defender is one of the best in the world and he is a surety to start against our Premier League rivals.

Joe Gomez (RB)

Trent Alexander-Arnold was preferred in our win over Cardiff but Gomez should make a return to the side against Arsenal.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

Wijnaldum is possibly the best midfielder we have in the team, and there is no doubt he will start on Saturday.

Fabinho (CM)

Fabinho was excellent in the 4-1 win over Cardiff and might start ahead of Jordan Henderson and James Milner.

Xherdan Shaqiri (RAM)

Shaqiri didn’t start in our win over Cardiff but scored an important goal in the win over the Bluebirds.

Roberto Firmino (CAM)

The Brazilian needs to work his socks off and make things difficult for the Arsenal defence if we are to pick up the three points at the Emirates.

Sadio Mane (LAM)

Mane scored a brace in our 4-1 win over Cardiff City and hopefully, will score a few against the Gunners too.

Mohamed Salah (ST)

Salah seemed to do well in his position as the striker, and Klopp should continue playing with the same formation.
