Sadio Mane believes Naby Keita will come good for Liverpool despite an injury-hit season. The former RB Leipzig man was one of the stars in our opening day 4-0 win over West Ham.

However, the Guinea midfielder came back injured from the previous international break. Mane has helped the Reds to an unbeaten start to the Premier League season and knows the midfielder can get better at the club.

The Senegalese attacker told Premier League Productions (h/t Daily Star):

“He is a great player and also young.

“He still has a lot to learn and much to improve also.

“When he came he surprised everyone but not me, because I know him. I’m sure he will do great things for us.

“Now he is back with the team and we are happy to have him.

“I’m looking forward to seeing him helping the team as he can.”

Keita only has five starts to his name this season but hasn’t recorded a goal or an assist for the Reds. The midfielder was great when playing for Leipzig but we are yet to see that from the 23-year-old.

Liverpool have some tough fixtures coming up in the Champions League once the international break is done, and we should see more of the midfielder then.

The Reds spent big on the 23-year-old to sign him from Leipzig and it should only be a matter of time before he starts performing.
