Liverpool have been given a surprise injury boost ahead of the clash against Bournemouth on Saturday. The Metro reports that Sadio Mane has travelled with the team. The Senegal attacker wasn’t part of the matchday squad in our midweek win over Burnley.
The report adds that the 26-year-old was sure to miss the Cherries tie after injuring his foot in our win over Everton last weekend.
Mane has six goals and an assist from 13 Premier League games this season, and his pace would be crucial in breaking down the Bournemouth defence.
The Cherries sit seventh in the Premier League, and we have had some epic battles with them in recent years.
Jurgen Klopp had claimed that Mane is unlikely to play against Bournemouth (h/t Metro):
“Sadio is now out and tries to run first time so that doesn’t sound like he will be ready for tomorrow.”
However, the report suggests Liverpool will take a decision on the 26-year-old on Saturday morning. A win for us over the Cherries will heap the pressure on Manchester City.
The three points at the Vitality Stadium will take us above the Cityzens, and they have a tough clash later in the day when they play Chelsea.

Liverpool have an important Champions League tie against Napoli in midweek, and hopefully, we pick up the three points against the Italian side too.
