AC Milan could turn to a couple of Liverpool stars after failing to land Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Mirror).
The report claims that the Swede’s short-term move from the MLS fell through and Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso is interested in Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge.
Origi was our hero in the Merseyside derby but didn’t play in the Premier League before the Everton game.
Sturridge has been used a lot more by Jurgen Klopp this season, and the Englishman has three goals and an assist this season.
The report adds that a move to Milan could tempt Origi to make a move in January but the Belgian has been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers too. After that, Milan could move for Sturridge as well, as per the report.
Milan are also interested in Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen, and the report further claims that the Italian giants are interested in a trio of Chelsea stars as they look to push up the Serie A table.
Sending Origi away for additional minutes would be a decent move, but we have seen the Belgian come up huge in the last week.
Injuries could also play a part in our decision to send either player away and we will have to rest the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in the months ahead.

A deal in the summer would be ideal since it will provide us with time to play the pair in some of the games too.
