Liverpool players celebrate win

Liverpool will have to be at their best as they face Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday. The Reds enjoy a six-point lead at the top of the table after their win over Newcastle United, with Tottenham breathing down their neck.

The Reds drew 1-1 against the Gunners at the Emirates earlier in the season but should start the game as slight favourites for this clash.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is leading the goal-scoring charts in the Premier League and we have to be wary of the threat posed by the Gunners. The Reds play Manchester City after this clash and keeping that game in mind, here is my predicted line-up.

Predicted Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Alisson (GK)

Another game, and another clean sheet. Alisson was great for us against the Magpies and needs to be vigilant against the Gunners too.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

Trent provided an assist in the last game and should remain in the side ahead of the fit-again Nathaniel Clyne.

Dejan Lovren Liverpool

Dejan Lovren (CB)

The Croatian would love to repeat his goalscoring antics against Newcastle on Saturday as we face the Gunners.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

The best defender in the Premier League will have to deal with the threat of a quality Arsenal attack.

Andy Robertson (LB)

Ideally, Robertson needs a break but with Alberto Moreno and James Milner having knocks, the Scot has to start.

Fabinho of Liverpool
Fabinho bossed Manchester United

Fabinho (CM)

The Brazilian came off the bench to score the final goal against Newcastle and needs to do a great job in cutting out Arsenal’s threat from the midfield.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

Wijnaldum should continue in the team for the clash against the Gunners on Saturday.

Jordan Henderson (CM)

The captain was brilliant against Newcastle but will face a tougher test against Arsenal’s battling midfield.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane needs to find his scoring boots after missing some glorious chances on Wednesday, but he should start for us at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah of Liverpool

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Salah tormented the Newcastle defence and the Liverpool attacker could be shifted out wide for this clash.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

The Brazilian should take up the striker’s role against the Gunners and hopefully, he finds the back of the net.
