Liverpool could turn to the Championship as they look for an Alberto Moreno replacement, according to the Daily Mail (h/t Daily Star).
Lloyd Kelly of Bristol Rovers is a target for the Premier League leaders after Moreno claimed he was unhappy with his situation at the club, as per the report.
The Spanish left-back has struggled to usurp Andy Robertson this season and the report is quick to add that Kelly could be cover for our Scottish left-back.
The 20-year-old has done well for City as they lie in mid-table in the Championship. The English left-back has 21 Championship appearances to his name this season and can play as a central defender if needed.
The Reds spent huge in the summer and currently lead the Premier League but could do with some defensive signings.
Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are out for a while with fractures while Trent Alexander-Arnold has also had his problems with a few niggles this season.
We have played James Milner on either side of the central defence this season, and we could do with someone who provides Robertson with competition.
Moreno hasn’t been able to do that and Lloyd could be a cheap signing given he is out of contract at the end of the season, as per the report.
Liverpool have done extremely well in the transfer windows under Jurgen Klopp and hopefully, the move for Lloyd does work out as we need quality cover for Robertson.
