Liverpool youngster Bobby Adekanye is in talks with Italian giants Lazio over a five-year deal, according to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Mirror).
The 19-year-old winger has been in talks with the club since last month, as per the report, and will leave us should a deal be finalised.
The Dutch youngster, who was born in Nigeria, has trained with the senior team this season, as per the report, but hasn’t picked up any minutes under Jurgen Klopp.
Adekanye plays mostly as a right-winger but can do a job on the opposite flank or as a central attacking midfielder.
The youngster started his career with Ajax before stints at PSV and Barcelona. He only moved to Liverpool from the Catalans three years ago, and hopefully, he gets more minutes as he could shift to Italy.
Liverpool have a few quality youngsters who can do a job out wide. Harry Wilson has been a star for Derby County this season while Ryan Kent has done a wonderful job under Steven Gerrard at Rangers.
It will be important for us to have some quality wingers in the side that can cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
The pair seem to start almost regularly but we have seen Xherdan Shaqiri play several games this season out wide.
Salah has also been shifted to a central role by Jurgen Klopp, and it has worked a treat as he is in the race for the Golden Boot this season too.
