“Deserves a lot of credit” ,”Absolute hero” – Some Liverpool fans praise star’s gutsy performance against Manchester City

The race for the Premier League title took another twist as Liverpool were handed their first defeat of the league campaign.

Manchester City were never going to be easy opposition, however, we had a quality chance with Sadio Mane hitting the post.

Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane got the goals for the Sky Blues with Roberto Firmino scoring in between.

The Reds tried to score a second equaliser but it just did not come. It could have been a far greater scoreline for the home side had it not been for the heroics of Alisson.

The Brazilian could not do much for the goals he conceded, but he made a couple of crucial stops to ensure we trailed only by one goal in the second half.

Aguero seemed destined to score when he tried to round off the Brazilian, however, Alisson managed to dive at the right moment and blocked the Argentine’s shot.

These were the 9th and 10th goals conceded by Alisson since the start of the Premier League season, and he has been an astute signing for Jurgen Klopp.

The Brazilian has had his moments of brilliance, such as the one against Napoli with his last-minute save, and many fans praised the former Roma star’s performance at the Etihad.
